Name: Harry Nguyen (He/Him)
BCITMA Position: VP of Creative & Branding

Why did you join the BCITMA?
"To enhance my creative skill as well as learn more about branding and leadership skill.”

What does your role look like as a VP of your committee?
”As a VP, I'm in charge of managing the creative projects and helping my team learn and improve their skill and knowledge. I also design creative myself with the help of Procreate and Adobe Photoshop.”

Do you have any experiences you would like to share from your time as a VP?
”Not many, to be honest, but working on creatives and seeing how other VPs and members appreciate my design is the best experience for my committee.”

How do you keep your personal and work/school life balanced?
”I always try to plan everything ahead of time and start working on creative requests as soon as possible. Another trick is to divide my work into small chunks that I handle throughout my timeline instead of waiting close to the deadline.”

Can you share what you’ve learned so far with BCITMA?
”One of the critical skills that I learned is project management. Being able to manage multiple projects at the same time and working under pressure is the great lesson I learn from this job.”

Any tips or tricks you would like to share with Marketing students?
”Start your task early, be an active listener and be positive are a few tips I have for you.”
