At our first general meeting of the year, we acknowledged two incredible individuals who stepped it up early to help the BCITMA start the year off strong. We look forward to where they bring us in the months to come. Thanks to Monica Quan and Sarah Davidson for all your help through out the month of September!!
Monica Quan has been a great asset to the BCITMA since her role last year on the Events Committee. She stuck out as someone that we wanted to help with recruitment for the club, after spending a year witnessing her positive spirit and hard work. Monica helped out the VP of Membership, Sylvia Tran, countless times during recruitment events in September. Her positive and engaging demeanor made her the perfect candidate for our Membership Recruitment Team. On Orientation Day, she was a fantastic Orientation Leader helping spread the word about the BCITMA to new students.
Alongside this, Monica assisted the club by manning booths during critical recruitment times including the First Week Welcome and Clubs Day. Without hesitation, Monica would make time in her schedule to come out and help (and always with the biggest smile). Thank you Monica for all your help in September and for being the best form of first-contact for new members. We look forward to witnessing your work with the Events and Community Relations Committees!
Sarah Davidson has also helped out the club in critical times through completion of the BCITMA Chapter Plan with Vice President Milad Hedge. Sarah’s role in designing and formatting the beautiful layout for the plan did not go unnoticed. Her work will greatly help the club’s overall AMA ranking against many larger schools. Sarah went above and beyond what was expected all while being professional and a pleasure to work with.
Sarah also went above and beyond for the VP of Communications, Jin Kim, for the Communications Committee. Her article for the Marketing Week Industry Tour at BuildDirect was beautifully written – with having done extra research for content applicable to the article. Sarah’s dedication to this article for BuildDirect helped the BCITMA create awareness about the company as well as increase promotions for Marketing Week 2016. There are many more opportunities for Sarah to show the club her amazing talent with the creation of the year-end Annual Report and the many articles to come. Thank you Sarah for all your help and we look forward to seeing your flourish as the Director of Internal Communications!
