The First-Year Liaison position here at the BCITMA is one that involves a little knowledge (they are first years after all!), some passion and a whole lot of heart. Frankly, why else would these busy first-years dedicate their time to enriching the lives of other first years’?!
It can be daunting to be first-year students at a new school, in an intense new program. Luckily, the First-Year Liaisons are here to help you along the way. Their role is to act as a medium between the BCITMA and first-year marketing students and help increase two-way communication. In addition, their work also extends to building and strengthening relationships in the BCITMA between the amateur first-years and the seasoned second-years. It can be tricky to navigate a club as big as the BCITMA as new members and the First-Year Liaisons are here to help with any inquiries along the way. Feel free to approach them on campus with any questions regarding first-year life and the BCITMA.
