About the Regional Conference
The BCITMA presents its Second Annual Regional Conference, a student organized event that brings like-minded people together to share a memorable experience. The theme of this year’s conference is Marketing in the Digital Age. There will be an impressive line up of speakers from various backgrounds, including VPs, Directors, and Managers of successful organizations from the Greater Vancouver Area. In addition to the conference, there will be a sales competition where participants compete and show off their sales skills in front of sales executives for a chance to win a cash prize. Attendees also receive a catered lunch and plenty of opportunities for networking.

The Ledcor Sales Competition at the BCITMA Regional Conference is an ideal opportunity to compete against other marketing students and test your ability to execute a pitch, close a deal, and win a cash prize. The competition will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2014, as a solo presentation between 10:00am – 2:00pm. Each competitor will be provided an eight minute time slot to present a prepared sales presentation to a prospective buyer of their choosing. Our panel of judges will critique the presentation and winners will be announced at the end of the conference. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded to the top three presenters.
There are only 12 spots available in the competition which will be decided on a first come, first served basis so please register early.

Meet our Keynote Speaker – Richard Loat
Founder and CEO – Five Hole For Food
A visionary leader and one of Canada’s youngest executives Richard Loat is a lifelong learner who has channeled his passion and drive for helping others as he founded Five Hole for Food, a Canadian non-profit organization. One of the fastest-growing non-profit organizations in the game, Five Hole for Food travels across the country every summer with taped sticks, hockey nets and a goal of generating food donations through the game of hockey. In just three years, their rapid growth has resulted in over half a million pounds (500,000 LBS) of donated food for food banks across Canada all by harnessing the power and potential of social media.

Chris Breikss is a co-founder and President of 6S Marketing, a digital marketing agency with offices in Toronto and Vancouver. 6S Marketing provides digital marketing services to clients across the USA, Canada and Internationally. Chris honed his skills as a member of the Internet marketing team at Stratford Internet Technologies, providing Web site promotion services for their Web design and development clients. Chris also worked on the Web team at Infowave Software in the wireless division, as an Internet Marketing Specialist. Chris is a sought after speaker in the industry and has lectured on Internet marketing at various conferences and venues across North America.

Ian is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Speed Shift Media & Partner, Chasm Digital. Ian has been studying the changes in Media, Retail, Real Estate, Sales and Marketing for the last 10 years.
Having built and sold solutions for American Express, Chrysler, Primaris REIT, and London Drugs he has had the opportunity to help businesses in changing industries utilize mediums within a changing landscape to deliver great results.
